Exciting updates on our newest syndicates!

There are currently two syndicates (IPDx and Startup Wise Guys) gathering interest on Funderbeam.

If you are considering to invest, you might be interested in the latest updates from them. Here’s what’s happened since they launched:

Innovative point-of-care tests for early stage diagnostics of diseases

Patent application has been submitted

A patent application on the biomarker set for Type 2 Diabetes (T2D) was been submitted to US patent and trademarks office (USPTO) by IPDx parent company, Protobios. The same biomarkers will be the basis for the early stage T2D diagnostic test which will be patented next year by IPDx itself.

FREE tests for all syndicate backers!

IPDx will be ready with its first diagnostic test in mid 2017, and at this time, everyone who backs the syndicate will get a free test to see how easy it is to test yourself for early signs of Type 2 Diabetes.

Great questions from Q&A

This week, we held an online Q&A, allowing potential investors to ask questions about IPDx. If you were not able to attend, you can read the transcript here. If you have further questions, don’t hesitate to ask them on the syndicate page.

Startup Wise Guys

One investment — portfolio of ten carefully selected, international, promising startups!

First exit from Startup Wise Guys!

Last week we received probably the biggest news since founding Startup Wise Guys — our alumni from the very first accelerator batch VitalFields have reached a successful exit after being acquired by US company, The Climate Corporation. Expect many more success stories from our portfolio.

Meet Startup Wise Guys at Slush

Startup Wise Guys will be present this week at Slush in Helsinki. Slush is the biggest tech event in the region, and if you are joining, come say hello to Startup Wise Guys and Funderbeam at the Startup Estonia booth. More info on the Facebook event.

Growing interest from startups for next batch

In order to attract the best startups for the 8th batch, we are running pre-acceleration programs (VUNK in Estonia, JUMP in Denmark), as well as visiting target countries around CEE. It takes approximately a pool of 300 startups to select a batch of 10 promising startups.

Have a great week!
